Please join us on July 24, 2016 for another online Buddha Shakyamuni mantra accumulation practice, on behalf of all those affected by the 2015 earthquake in Nepal.
Updates and links will be posted right here, so come back and visit this page before the practice.
Practice: 8:30am ET to 11am ET (GMT-4)
This sangha-wide practice is being held as an offering to Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche, in response to his wish that we accumulate one million mantra accumulations for the sake of the victims of the 2015 earthquakes in Nepal. Over the last several months we have reached 560,000 mantras. Our goal is to offer him a report of one million completed mantras when he returns to teach at the Garrison Institute at the end of August 2016.

Structure of the day:
he practice session will be bilingual: chanting in Tibetan phonetic for each section of the practice, followed by English for that same section. The recitations of the sadhana will be led by Tulku Sherdor, using the version found here.
We will begin with the sadhana with a focus on mantra accumulation. Those who have not yet studied the archived teachings by Rinpoche found on the DharmaSun website, or who are unfamiliar with this practice, may wish to join this session.
Most of the session, until 11:00 am, will be spent reciting mantras. Count your mantras however you wish and add your accumulated mantra count using the Counter Form located here: http://www.rygroupeast.org/mantra-counter
You are entirely free to practice for longer on your own and close the session later. You can also practice additional sessions at other times during the day, or practice on any other day, to add your count toward the mantra accumulation. Note that only mantras recited in the context of the Sadhana can be counted for this purpose.
