is a Dharma center in Queens, New York, operated by Rangjung Yeshe New York Inc.
(501 (c)3), under the direction of Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, the abbot of KaNying Shedrub Ling monastery in Boudananth, Kathmandu, Nepal, and the founder of Rangjung Yeshe Institute, Dharma House New York City is a multi-lineage Tibetan Buddhist dharma center under Rinpoche's direction where Western and Himalayan students are happy to realize Rinpoche's aspirations by practicing together in person or online. We host programs by rinpoches and lamas, along with various weekly and monthly group sadhana practices, weekly Tibetan classes, several dharma and meditation groups, and more. Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche’s First Visit to Dharma House NYC - Part 1

On his inaugural visit to Dharma House NYC in June 2019, Rinpoche speaks about his history coming from Tibet with his family, and his father Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche building and founding the Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling monastery in Nepal. He goes on to give meditation instruction as well as advice to the Himalayan community. This teaching is entirely in Tibetan and Nepali. Some English translation follows in part 2, below.

Mantra Accumulation for World Peace

Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche has requested that the sangha perform the sadhana of Shakyamuni Buddha, called "A Treasury of Blessings,"  for the sake of world peace. All of us around the world can use the form at the bottom of this page to track the number of mantras recited in the course of practicing the sadhana.

Rinpoche originally stated a goal of one million mantras. We have now at over 9 million!

Note: We've been taught that one should always practice the sadhana before performing mantras to be added to the count here. Click here for more information on our Frequently Asked Questions page.
